Verlin Joseph Bonvillain, 86, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, July 12, 2013.

Mr. Bonvillain was an oilfield construction foreman with Pennzoil for 36 years and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a lifelong bowler, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Bonvillain; sons, Mark (Cindy), Chris (Carol) and Gary (Tiffany) Bonvillain; daughters, Jan (Bryan) Robichaux, Lisa (Sterling) Avet and Donna (Kevin) Mazarac; sister, Miriam (Vince) Hebert; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.


Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
