Verna Theresa Robicheaux Foolkes, 81, a native of Franklin, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Aug. 6, at 9 a.m.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Harper and husband Thomas of Salado, Texas, and Jody Blanchard and husband Carey of Lewisville, Texas; two brothers, Eusebe Robicheaux of Stephensville, La., and Ray Robicheaux of Franklin, La.; and seven grandchildren, Chelsea Blanchard, Wesley Blanchard, Shem Hicks, Jason Hicks, Bryon Hicks, Thomas Harper Jr., Tracie Harper and Heather Harper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny E. Foolkes; parents, Eusebe Robicheaux and Mae Miguez Robicheaux; one son, Gary Hicks; and three sisters, Ella Mae Polito, Irene Slataper and Doris Vaccarella.
She was Catholic and a homemaker.
Vistiation will be 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Chauvin Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis No. 1 Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
