Verna Josephine LeBoeuf Trahan, 85, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 8:37 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Trahan of Bayou Blue, LA.; two sons, Ronald Cadiere and wife, Mae Quick, and Tilford Trahan and wife, Kathy Girlinghouse of Bayou Blue; one daughter, Verla Sonier and husband, Herman, of Bayou Blue; one sister, Effie LeCompte of Houma; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three step-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles LeBoeuf and Mable Samanier LeBoeuf; one son, Anthony “Mugs” Cadiere; one grandson, Sirron Trahan; four brothers, Randolph, Chester, J.C. and Allen Trahan; and two sisters, Joanne Hebert and Lorena Richard.

She was a homemaker and loved her flowers and Mardi Gras. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
