Viles Crochet Jr.


Viles “Old Crow” Joseph Crochet, Jr., age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was a native of Gibson and a resident of Houma, LA.

Viles is survived by his son, Patrick J. Crochet and wife, Patricia; daughters, Anne C. Rainier and husband, Larry, Paula C. Adams and husband, Keystol, Pamela C. Weeks and Claudia Crochet; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Old Crow was a daily parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a Motor Machinist’s Mate Second Class. He was a member of the VFW 3700. He worked for J.C. Armature as a marine electrician for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and carving duck decoys. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
