Violet Theresa Lirette Robichaux, 77, a native of Dularg, La., and resident of Upper Little Caillou, La., died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at 10:36 a.m.


She is survived by her husband, Laban Anthony Robichaux Sr.; three sons, Ronnie Robichaux and his wife Ruth, Kirk Robichaux and his wife Janet, and Laban Robichaux Jr.; three daughters, Jeanne Dupre and her husband Dave, Veronica McLeMore and her husband James, and Susette Vetter; two brothers, Dennis Lirette Jr. and Daniel Lirette; three sisters, Leona Guidry, Velma Dehart, and Angela Durio; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Marie Liner Lirette, Sr.; three brothers, Hillary Lirette, Jimmy Lirette and Roosevelt Lirette; and one sister, Jeannie Trahan.


Violet was a devout Catholic and a Parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, La. She was a homemaker and a member of East Park Ladies Auxiliary.

She is buried in St. Elie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bayou Regions Hospice.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
