Virgie B. Rogers

Virgie B. Rogers, 83, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011.

Mrs. Rogers was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons, Albert Jr. (Cynthia), Jimmy (Brenda), Eugene (Kathy) and Johnny (Mary) Rogers; daughters, Malvina Breaux and Lottie (Kenneth) Bell; brother, Mitchell Bourg; sisters, Odessa Foret, Betty Sorello and Elizabeth Vial; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Rogers Sr.; son, Donald Rogers; brothers, Taylor, Anderson and Harrison Bourg; and sisters, Evelyn Grabert, Mary Duplantis and Catherine Rogers.

Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
