Virgie Himel Perk, 86, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, February 20, at 9:52 a.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Perk, Barbara P. Rivet and husband Henry, and Yvonne K. Perk; sisters, Lois H. Boudreaux, Doris H. Trosclair and Gertrude H. Chamberlain; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leander J. Perk Sr.; parents, Clarence Himel and Orelia Benoit Himel; son, Leander J. Perk Jr.; and brothers, Hoffman, Simon and Raymond Himel.
She was a member of the Pink Ladies Society at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, February 23, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
