Virgie Marie Labit Gautreaux, 72, of native of Houma, La., and a resident of Baton Rouge, La., died at 12 p.m. Tuesday, October 28.

She is survived by her husband, Carrol Xavier Gautreaux of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Connie Marie Morrison and husband Steve of Baton Rouge, and Melissa Lofton and husband Dana of Houma; her brother, Morris Labit Jr. of Houma; two sisters, Maybelle Burton and Eva Mazarac of Houma; and three grandchildren, Blaine Lofton of Houma, Kimberly Morrison of Baton Rouge and Dyllon Lofton of Houma.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Labit Sr. and Eva Arceneaux Labit; and her brother, Ruffin Labit.

She was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church in Baton Rouge.

She was buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
