Voltaire J. Bergeron, Sr., 78, a native of Golden Meadow, Louisiana, and resident of Galliano, Louisiana, died Saturday, July 12, 2014.
Mr. Bergeron is survived by his son, Voltaire J. Bergeron Jr.; stepson, Timmy Pitre; daughter, Laura Collins; stepdaughters, Gail Rogers, Kathy Varnum, Karen Rogers, Corina Ledet, Patty Lefont; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Mae Felarise Bergeron; father, Francis Bergeron; mother, Annie Pitre Bergeron; son, Kemble Bergeron; and brother, Ted Bergeron.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, from 9 until funeral time, on Tuesday, July 15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Burial is at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery.
