Walter Jean Romero Sr., 81, a native of Erath, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Romero; sons, Walter Jr. (Dianne), Anthony (Monique), Michael and Richard (Toni) Romero; daughters, Connie (Sydney) Wyre and Marjorie Ann Ambrose; brothers, Presley, Preston and Howard Jr. Romero; sister, Evelyn Menard; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Inez Romero; and brother, Dennis Romero.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Chauvin Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
