Walter Paul Thibodaux Sr., 74, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Chackbay, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014.
Mr. Thibodaux was the founder and owner of Thibodaux Wrecker Service and was a member of the Chackbay Fire & Rescue for more than 30 years. He enjoyed drag racing, spending time with his family, cooking and dancing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by wife, Shirley Thibodaux; children, Walter Jr. (Bridget) and Ronnie (Donna) Thibodaux and Penny Hotard; sisters, Heloise (Nolan) Dubois, Barbara (Gerald Sr.) Breaux and Gail (Raymond) Legendre; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Lillian Thibodaux; brothers, Lloyd and Levy Thibodaux; and sisters, Joyce Marcel, Shirley Theriot and Lucille Chaisson.
Burial is at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery in Chackbay. (Thibodaux)
