December 23, 2011Walter VanBuren Jr., 71, and a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
Mr. VanBuren was a retired driver for Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc.
He is survived by his sons, Lionel Williams, Greg (Ramona), Kerry and Troy (Yolonda) VanBuren and Warren Wright; daughters, Beverly (Dion) Fletcher and Laura Wright; brothers, Charles Ray and Murphy, Earl and Robert VanBuren; sisters, Verna VanBuren, Cynthia (Alvin) Sewine, Linda Lovely and Sarah (Marlon) Moses; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr. and Mary VanBuren.
Burial was at New Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Labadieville, La. (Williams & Southall)
