Wesley Jackson, 94, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Smithridge, La., died Sunday, October 5.
He is survived by three sons, Wesley Jackson Jr., Leo Jackson and Sterling Simms; three daughters, Pearline Bryant, JoAnn Ruffin and Doris Seymore; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Warren Jackson; his parents, Asa and Lucy Brooks Jackson; one sister, Rosie Williams; and his grandparents, Tom and Laura Jackson.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW and was retired.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
