Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

Whitney “Sarge” Allemand, 63, a native of Lockport, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
Mr. Allemand is survived by his wife, Sandra Burton Allemand; daughter, Angie (Dusty) Authement; former wife, Kate Breaux Allemand; brothers, Wilbert (Fannie), Willie Jr. (Brenda), Wilton (Charlene), Rudy (Susan) Allemand; sisters, Wildred (Wayne) Talbot, Mary Jane (Larry) Dufrene, Wanda (Norman) Adams, Florence (Eddie) Adams, Ruby (Richard) McCardle.
He is buried at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church Cemetery.
