Wilbert “Tucker” Caldwell, 63, a native of Napoleonville, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Thursday January 31, 2008.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Williams and husband, Darvin, of Napoleonville, Allison Caldwell of Port Arthur, Texas, Troy Wilbert Jr. and wife, Germaine, Todd Caldwell, Sheila, Sandra and Allen Bolden, Kendrick, Eldridge and Shemika Jupiter, all of Thibodaux; his companion, Mattie Jupiter; sisters, Thelma Caldwell, Velma Cola and Aline Saar, all of Gonzales, La., Fannie Wallace and husband, Robert, of Zachary, La., Sally Harris of Thibodaux, Marlene Adams and husband, Milton, of Belle Rose, La., and Terese Brown and husband, Edward, of Labadieville, La.; brothers, Lionel Caldwell and wife, Cora Lee, of Napoleonville and Sterling Caldwell of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; and numerous relatives.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Fannie Lemon Caldwell.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008, at St. Peter Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. He will be buried in the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.
