Wiley A. Chabert Sr., 74, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Wednesday, October 1.
He is survived by his son, John Chabert and wife Robin C. Chabert; daughter, Stephanie Dowdy and husband Roger Dowdy Sr.; sister, Betty C. Orgeron and husband Teddy Orgeron; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Widless and Lydia Bourgeois Chabert; and brothers, Godfrey and Wilbert Chabert.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
He was buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off.
Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
