Willa Mae “Billie” Simmons Toups, 84, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Saturday, November 1.


She is survived by her husband, Ray A. Toups; two sons, Ray Toups Jr. and Jon J. Toups; five daughters, Kay T. Jackson, Margie T. Clause, Norma T. Lagarde, Ellen Toups and Anne T. Benoit; one sister, Norma S. Bergeron; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ansil N. and Cora B. Simmons; four brothers, Jewel, A.N. Buster, Clyde and Bobby; and three sisters, Edyre Dolese, Lucille Alleman and Marjorie Simmons.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
