William C. Fakier, 78, a native of Thibodaux, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 9 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2007.

Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.


He is survived by his wife, Nan LeBlanc Fakier of Houma; two sons, Michael C. Fakier and wife, Ellen, and Kurt N. Fakier and wife, Cindy, of Houma; two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Fakier and Richard “Dickie” Fakier of Houma; and three grandchildren, Kacey F. DeRoche, Kayla A. Fakier and Lauren M. Fakier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William N. Fakier and Mae Chauvin Fakier; and one brother, Barry Fakier.

He was a retired general salesman with Dick Barker Inc. with 35 years and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
