William “Bill” Oscar Cole, 81, a native of Bay Springs, Ms. and resident of Houma, La. died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 3:15 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Betty Myrick Cole; one son, William Michael Cole and his wife Ferrera; one daughter, Martha Lapeyrouse; three brothers, James, Bobby, and Tommy Cole; one sister, Rose Hodgson; and three grandchildren, Cari Lapeyrouse, Jordan Cole, and Kristen Cole.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Myrtle Weeks Cole; one brother, Patrick Cole; and one sister, Ruth Turner.

William served his country during World War II in the Unites States Navy. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He worked as a salesman in the oilfield service industry for over 35 years. He loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, but most of all he loved being with his family.

Visitation is Monday, October 22, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma.

Falgout Funeral of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
