William E. “Bill” Wells, 83, a native of Strong, Ark., and resident of Larose, La., died Thursday July 11, 2013.
Mr. Wells was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and loved hunting and fishing. He retired from the oil field after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Eddie Wells; son, Hank (Paula) Wells; stepson, Jamon Franks; brother, Allen Wells; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lilly Wells; parents, Jessie and Johnie Wells; son, Keith Guidroz; daughter, Gerry Richmond; and sister, Dolyne Woods.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 12, and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Cut Off, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
