William Fussell Sr., 80, a native of Jigger and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, June 4.


He is survived by his wife, Mary Powell Fussell; sons, Bill Fussell Jr., Boyd Fussell and Bryan Fussell; brothers, Nerious Fussell Jr. and Carey Fussell; sister, Carolyn Salines; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nerious and Georgia Herlong Fussell.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 5, and 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Thibodaux Funeral Home’s chapel. The funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial at Ogden Cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
