William C. “Billy” Gautreaux, 85, a native of Des Allemands, La., and a resident of Bourg, La., died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015.
Mr. Gautreaux, or “Mr. G” as his students called him, was an extraordinary servant of Christ. An avid sportsman and devoted LSU fan, he taught in Terrebonne Parish for nearly 40 years. He also taught ’Tweeners at Vision Christian Center. Faith, family, fishing and football were his passions.
Mr. Gautreaux is survived by his wife, Beverly Arceneaux Gautreaux; children, Karen (Steve) Matherne, Kevin (Denise) and Mark (Adelyn) Arceneaux, Denise (Mark) Belanger, William and Lynette Gautreaux; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
