William “Uncle Bill” Gordon Sr., 76, a longtime resident of Bayou Black, La., and native of Missouri died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011.


Mr. Gordon was a very loving man and was loved by all who knew him. He was retired from a life of welding and inspecting in the oil field industry. He was an avid outdoorsman and his favorite hobby was fishing. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Gautreaux Gordon; sons, William Jr. “Billy,” Brian, Joe and Blake Barnett Gordon; daughters, Cindy Petty, Sherri Moore and Angel Wolfertz; sister, Kay Haney; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.


He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers.

Special thanks to all who helped and cared for him especially the doctors, nurses and aids at Terrebonne General Medical Center and FMC Dialysis.
