William Charles Kemp, 75, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Sacramento, Calif., died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.

Mr. Kemp served in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years.


He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pearly Kemp of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters, Cheryl Kemp of Baton Rouge, Denise Wallace, Vera (Anthony) Orapeza and Machale Kemp, all of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Augustine and Geraldine Kemp of Houma; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Sr. and Annie Scoby Kemp; brothers, Southern Louis, Willie and Sherman Kemp Jr.; sisters, Ada K. Lewis and Dorothy M. Kemp; and one grandson.

Mount Vernon Mortuary of Sacramento, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
