William “Bill” Irvan Lake, 72, a resident of Houma for 45 years and a native of Gladewater, Tx., died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007.

Visitation will be from 10 to 1 p.m. Friday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel.


He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Gonzales Lake; his sons, William Fr. and wife, Jean Duplantis Lake, Robert Lake, and Thomas and wife, Nicole Salassi Lake; his daughter, Donna Lake Richard; and his grandchildren, Brad Lake M.D., Suzette, Christopher, Nicolette and Gavin Lake, and Jared, Richard, Jamie and Janee Richard.


He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Lefty” H. and Elizabeth Davidson Lake; and his brother, John Allen Lake.

He was parishoner of First Methodist Church.

He worked for Halliburton for 23 years and was district manager of the Western Co. of N. America and B.J. Services in Lafayette, La.

He was an U.S. Army Paratrooper stationed in Germany in 1955-56.

He will be missed by family and friends with nothing unachievable.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
