Willie Brown Sr., 55, a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011.
Mr. Brown was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and worked many years as a welder and carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Brown; parents, Rev. Earl Jr. and Susie Brown; son, Willie Brown Jr.; stepsons, Salvador, Christopher and Wendell Rounds; stepdaughters, Tomeeka and Shelly Rounds; brothers, Edward, Douglas, Jeffery (Tara), Michael (Katherine), Gregory (Carolyn), Raymond and Darryl Brown; and sisters, Carrie Fernandez, Sherryl Brown, Angela (Donald) Jefferson and Linda (Harvey) Hills.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, McKinley and Moesa Benjamin and grandparents, Earl Sr. and Angnetta Brown.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at New St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Mathews, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Community)
