Willie “Bill” Harris, 79, a native of Schriever, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, March 12, 2011.
Mr. Harris was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Harris; daughter, Edwina Robertson; sisters, Ida Mae Cutno, Doris Ann Smith and Yvonne Lewis; brothers, Creighton, Roland, Junius and Wayne Harris; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Mae and Alfred Harris; stepfather, Osberry Diles Sr.; one daughter, Carrie Mae Ballard; three sisters, Gloria Parker, Cora Lee Banks and Marion Harris; two brothers, Alfred Harris and Osberry Diles Jr.; and grandmother, Roxy Goings.
He is buried at The Blue Lilly Cemetery on Johnson Ridge. (Kennedy)
