Willis J. Bourda, 65, a native of St. Martinville, La., and a resident of New Iberia, La., died Sunday, December 14 in New Iberia.


He is survived by his wife, Annie M. Walker of New Iberia; three daughters, Carla Green and Carolyn Green of Raceland, La., and Felicia Triggs of Houma, La.; one stepdaughter, Cynthia Simon of New Iberia; one son, Jimmie Theriot of Raceland; stepson, Martin Livingston of New Iberia; three brothers, Milton Bourda, Sidney Bourda and Adam Bourda all of Raceland; eight sisters, Albertha Ducett, Geraldine Bourda and Agnes Bourda of St. Martinville, Beatrice Robertson of Raceland, Alice Bourda of Luling, La., Anna Lewis of New Iberia, Tonya Bourda of Hahnville, La., and Irene Bourda of Houston, Tx.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Lewis Bourda; three sisters, Dora Bourda, Geraldine Bourda and Alice Bourda; and two brothers, Anthony Bourda and Joseph Bourda.

He was Catholic. His hobbies included fishing and lawn care.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, December 20, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
