Wilma Boudreaux, 87, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5.


She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Detillier; sisters, Muriel Schiermeyer and Nell Belanger; grandchildren, Richard Boudreaux Jr., Jody Detillier, Jimmy Detillier, Johnna Lynn D. Le, Jill D. Mendez, Donna Lynn B. Fowler and Tony Fremin; 15 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Boudreaux; her parents, Kirby J. Boudreaux Sr. and Marguerite A. LeBoeuf Boudreaux; sons, Henry J. Boudreaux, Richard K. Boudreaux Sr., Andrew Boudreaux and Daniel Boudreaux; grandson, Johnny James Detillier; great-grandson, infant Richard Boudreaux III; brother, Kirby J. Boudreaux Jr.; and sisters, Marie S. Bowers, Thelma B. Hebert and Margaret B. Hicks.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 31, the VFW Auxiliary Post 3700, Terrebonne Salon 660 8/40, Terrebonne Genealogical Society and a volunteer at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She loved dancing, bingo, casinos and genealogy and always prayed for our service men and women. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral

She was buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
