Wilson Danos, 86, a resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, April 25, 2012.


Mr. Danos was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Raceland VFW and American Legion. He was well known as a service station owner and school bus driver. He was an avid gardener and talented cook with a talent for storytelling and an infectious smile.


He is survived by his son, Dr. Bill (Linda) Danos; sister, Eula Stevens; grandchildren, Nikki and Jason (Ashley) Danos and Krista (Patrick) Gagnet; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Danos; parents, Henri and Estella Danos; and sister, Evelyn Danos.

Interment was at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in Raceland. (Falgout)
