Wilson P Pendas, 90, a native of Plaquemine, La., and a long time resident of Morgan City, La., died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010.
Mr. Pendas was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Morgan City and served his church in many capacities. He was the owner and operator of Wilson Pendas Insurance Agency for 53 years. He enjoyed his family and taking care of his backyard garden.
He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia (Sherman) Whiting, Kaye Holman and Sandra (Jay) Blanchard; son Albert (Nancy) Pendas; sisters, Jeanette Ford and Aline Devillier; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at Hargrave Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at First Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with burial to follow at Morgan City Cemetery.
