Wilton Anthony Ordoyne, 83, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Sunday, October 26, at 11:05 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Ordoyne; daughters, Anne Shelton of Coppell, Tx., Elaine Johnston of Bastrop, La., and Rene’ Hendrix of Larose; sister, Laura Mae Dunstane of Port Allen, La., and grandchildren, Stephen and James Johnston, Ashley and Eric Hendrix and Christopher and Nicholas Anthony Shelton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Rosalie Ordoyne; daughter, Mary Francis Ordoyne; brothers, Clyde, Gus and Louis “Wimpy” Ordoyne; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew Johnston.
He was a retired educator with the Lafourche Parish School system and a World War II veteran. He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council 8898. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 27, at the KC Hall in Larose, and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.
Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
