Wiltz James LeBlanc, 82, a native and resident of Houma, La., and longtime resident of New Orleans, La., died Tuesday, May 25, 2010.


Mr. LeBlanc was a Merchant Marine veteran of the World War II, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. After 25 years of service, he retired from New Orleans public service and returned to Houma. He was a business owner and member of the Bayou Board of Realtors. He served as a member of the Houma-Terrebonne Regional Planning Commission for 21 years.


He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Williams LeBlanc; daughter, Taree (Tommy) Montero; sisters, Betty Hansen and Verrel (Earl) Henry; sisters-in-law, Bernice LeBlanc and Margie Williams; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

He is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
