Woodrow “Tony” Gisclair Jr., 62, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Tuesday, April 7, at 3:20 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Gail Eymard Gisclair; parents, Woodrow Gisclair Sr. and Odette D. Gisclair; son, Jonathan Gisclair and wife Sharm El’ Buras Gisclair; daughter, Gina Gisclair; sister, Kathy Gisclair Songy and husband Eric; grandchildren, Ella, Lily and Isabel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a former U.S. Army Sgt E-5, a Vietnam Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with V device. He was a former employee of Two Sisters Clothing Store, Eckerd Drugs, Bob’s Seafood and he was a U.S. Postal carrier with the Golden Meadow office. He was the former president of the Golden Meadow Rotary Club and a member of the American Legion, VFW, KC Council 3150, 4th degree and St. Joseph Holy Name Society. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 12, and 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 13, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano with burial at the church cemetery.
