Wybra Joseph Price, 74, a resident of Morgan City, La., died Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

Mr. Price was an exceedingly active member of Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church. He was assistant Fire Chief for the Morgan City Fire Department having served the people of Morgan City for 31 devoted years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time camping with his family. He was a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather who found great pride in spoiling his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Price; daughter, Janice Bailey; son, Wybra Price II; brothers, Merlin, Frank, Curtis, Gerald and Don Price; sisters, Agnes Wright, Elizabeth Allen and Charlene Pye; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Agnes Price; sister, Helen Daigle; and brothers, Lee, Ernest and Eugene Price.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church with services to follow. Entombment will be at Morgan City Mausoleum. (Hargrave)
