Proposal for elderly housing draws fire

Yvonne P. Cuneo, 88, a native of Little Caillou, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died Monday, February 26, 2007.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Carlo Cuneo Sr. and wife, Linda; five daughters, Bonnie C. Detiveaux and husband, LeRoy, Christine C. Boudreaux and husband, Michael, Melanie C. Guillote, Mary C. Babrock and husband, Alan, and Mary Francine C. Perry and husband, John; one sister, Ora P. Portier Charpentier Simpson; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cuneo; her parents, Milka Pellegrin and Aurora Cantrelle Pellegrin; four brothers, Essie, Easton, Thaddeus and Horace Pellegrin; and four sisters, Vivian Chauvin, Eula Fanguy, Wilma Redmond and Libby Duplantis.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
