Yvonne Lawson, 54, a native of Raceland, LA. and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Morristown Cemetery.


She is survived by her mother, Odessa S. Lawson of Raceland; one son, Otis Lawson of Raceland; one daughter, Latoya Lawson of Raceland; three sisters, Patricia L. Duplantis and husband, Healis, of Thibodaux, Paulette L. Thomas of Boutte and Jacquelyn L. Griffin and husband, Alex, of Raceland; and one brother, Micheal Cleveland of Raceland.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Brown Lawson; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lawson Sr., Violet Miller and the Rev. Amos Sumler.

She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and was Baptist.
