Cherry Building proves optimum site for several Thibodaux businesses

Yvonne B. Plaisance, 86, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at 7:05 a.m.
She is survived by her four daughters, Dolores Babin and her husband Melvin, Barbara Zeringue and her husband Carroll, Linda Breaux and her husband Abraham, and Brenda Plaisance and her husband Bertrand; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Plaisance; her parents, Sylvester and Clara Morvant Benoit; four brothers, Walter, Wallace, Sidney, and Gaston Benoit; two sisters, Bridget Giroir and Hilda Parks; and one grandchild, Kyle Plaisance.
Yvonne was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland.
Visitation is Wednesday, October 24, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and Thursday, October 25, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Mary Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
