Zenobia “Zen” Washington, 73, a native of Napoleonville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, July 19, 2007.


She is survived by one daughter; Wanda Washington; one son, Warren Washington; one brother, Anderson Thompson; two grandchildren; and numerous relatives.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Washington Sr.; her parents, Anderson and Zenobia D. Thompson; two sisters, Julia Carcisse and Minerva Roman; and five brothers, the Rev. Allen Thompson, Alton Fleeanders, Willard Thompson, Moses Thompson and Morris Thompson.

Zenobia was a devout Baptist and is now at home with her Lord Jesus Christ.

Visitation is Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at St. Paul Baptist Church in Napoleonville. She will be buried in St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery.

William and Southland Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
