Albert Joseph Hebert Jr., 84, a native of Larose and a resident of Houma, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 wonderful years, Sherry Schouest Hebert; children, Julie Chauvin (Adrian), Cally Bonvillain (Craig), Gena Naquin (Dwight), Stacy A. Hebert, Page Smith (Adam), and Al Hebert (Kelly); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Clemelia “Cammy” Foret.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Joseph Hebert, Sr. and Alzina Galliano Hebert.

Albert Jr. was a man of a few words, but meant what he said. No matter how tough it got, he never fled. He raised his kids as best as he could with his wife. He worked around the world to provide nothing but the best for his family, and never hid from his responsibilities. Albert Jr. taught his children and grandchildren to live, love, and laugh. He wasn’t perfect nor was he a saint. As a father, he was strict and stern but always there when needed, and as a husband, he was romantic and faithful to his loving wife Sherry, but as a man, he was honest and strong and would never let anyone be wronged in any situation. All the lessons and traits he lived by were seeded in his children and grandchildren. When he became a grandfather, he was gratuitous and sweet. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family has comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and in Heaven.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Gregory Maidoh for his compassion in taking care of Mr. Albert Jr. during this time.
