Brandon John Giroir, a native of Schriever and a resident of Houma, gained his heavenly wings and passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 46.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Samart Funeral Home on West Park from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at St. Francis Cathedral in Houma from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Berthelot Giroir; son, Taylor Giroir; daughter, Madison Giroir; parents, Harold and Diane Pearson Giroir; brothers, Jeff Giroir (Jodie), Marshall Giroir, and Corey Giroir (Ashley); and sister, Kristie Steagall.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifton Giroir, Sr. and Sally Giroir; and maternal grandparents, Johnie Pearson and Elma Pearson.

Brandon grew up as a happy child who loved to quietly play and take things apart to see how they worked. Those traits continued into his service career in the U.S. Navy as an EN1. His career after the service as a diesel mechanic was a continuation of that passion.

Brandon loved football, movies, video games, traveling, and food, but he was most content when spending time with his family. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart. His smile and laughter were contagious to anyone. There are no words to describe just how greatly he will be missed.
