‘Medical miracle’: Local health care workers receive COVID vaccine in first week of distribution

Catherine Ann Robichaux Fitch, age 63, passed away at 2:33 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at home following a three-year battle with cancer. Catherine was a native and resident of Houma.
A private graveside service will be held on a future date at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, Louisiana.
Catherine is survived by two sons, Joshua Fitch, and Jordan Fitch and fiancé Harley Hebert; seven grandchildren, Sara, Makaila, Josh Jr., Dakota, and Aiden Fitch, Anthony Hebert, and Leland Fitch due in March; five brothers, Allie and wife Melvena Robichaux, Donald Robichaux, Wayne and wife Judy Robichaux, Cary and wife Natalie Robichaux, and Jody and wife Regina Robichaux; and one brother-in-law, Philip Poche’. Catherine is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and one godchild.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Fitch; parents, Floyd A. and Beulah Robichaux; three brothers, Floyd J., Michael, and Thomas Robichaux; one sister, Evelyn Poche’; two sisters-in-law, Mildred and Betty Robichaux; one nephew, Floyd J. Robichaux; and one niece, Beverly Robichaux.
Catherine was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She adored and loved her family dearly. She was blessed to have many siblings and enjoyed family gatherings. She was not only loving to her family but an amazing care giver to many especially to her mom in her last days of life.
