Christopher “Chris” Craig Bergeron, born on August 28, 1992, a native of Bourg and a resident of Baton Rouge, gained his angel wings on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the age of 29.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his parents, Wendy Rhodes (Barry) and Craig Bergeron; grandmothers, Una Naquin and Linda Bergeron; godparents, Coby Brunet and Vickie Moore; and numerous cousins and friends that he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry Naquin and Henry Bergeron; uncle, Kent Freeman; and baby cousin, Jena Moore.
Chris will forever be remembered as a loving son, grandson, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, Chris enjoyed babysitting and spending time with children, which the children saw him as an uncle-figure. Although his life on Earth was short, he will forever be honored as a hero by donating his organs to those who needed them, in which his legacy will live on.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge for their care and compassion during this time. The family would also like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences.
