David Blanchard, 67, a native of Houma, Louisiana and resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away on August 8, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Blanchard; parents, Melvin and Juanita Blanchard; sons, Jonathan and Shane Blanchard; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Blanchard; aunt, Rena Labat and uncles, Roy and Ray Labat.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Blanchard (2011).
David was a deputy sheriff in Houma, La. He ran the rescue boat and worked in the crime lab. He served in the Army and worked for the U.S. Government. He lived overseas in Africa for five years and then in Bealeton, Virginia for thirty years. David was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, the Lions Club, Head Start school program and sang in his church choir. David was always full of stories to tell. David is beloved by his family and friends, he will be dearly missed.
