David Joseph Rodrigue, 63, a native of Chackbay, Louisiana and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away on September 9, 2022.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church – Chackbay, Thibodaux, Louisiana from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Thibodaux, Louisiana.
He is survived by his Wife, Denise Oubre Rodrigue; Mother, Lodia Rodrigue; Son, Gatlin Rodrigue (Johnette); Daughter, Sydney Rodrigue; Grandchildren, Gabriel, Angela, Caitlyn, Jasper; Brothers, Farrel, Aaron (Sherrill), Mitchell, Lorne (Trina); Sisters, Rosanne Gravois (Matthew) and Heidi.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Ronald Rodrigue; Grandparents, Anicet and Annette Rodrigue; Wallace and Alice Chiasson; In-Laws, Roland and Agnes Oubre; Brother-In-Law, Gregory Gravois.
David was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend, who was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite past time was watching LSU football and baseball. David had a passion for music, loving groups such as the Beatles, Styx and Yes. He was a meticulous craftsman who enjoyed his work and business of 26 years.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of The Claiborne of Thibodaux and St. Joseph Hospice.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to go to the EDW Cardinal Vanguard due to David’s love of music.
