Douglas Naquin, 42, a native of Island de Jean Charles and a resident of Terrebonne Parish, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at New Beginning Community Outreach Church in Montegut from 9:00 am till the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

He is survived by his mother, Odelia Dardar; brothers, Alvin T. Naquin, Jr., Russell Naquin, Sr. (Tonya), and Dicky Naquin; sisters, Vanessa LeBouef (Perry Sr.), Gloria Naquin, Doris N. Carlos, Nezia N. Wolfe, Maryann Billiot (Gene Sr.), and Nancy Naquin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin T. “Vin” Naquin, Sr.; and brother, Calvin Naquin, Sr.

Douglas was one of the kindest people you could’ve ever met. He was kind and thoughtful to everyone he would meet. If he ran into anyone, whether in a parking lot or store, he would stop and have a chat before continuing with his day. Douglas would definitely tell everyone hello and ask about how their day was going, then end the conversation with a “God Bless You” and “Don’t forget to pray”. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and wished everyone would have the same love for Jesus as he did. Douglas will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family has comfort in knowing he is now at peace, and having many wonderful conversations with his father and brother.
