Emilie Ann St. Romain Morales Weyl, age 84, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 8:52 a.m. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral on Saturday, January 22, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. with burial following at St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.

Emilie is survived by her son, Richard J. Morales, Jr. and wife, Michelle; daughters, Mindy Morales, Susy Morales, and Laura Morales; brother, Martin St. Romain and wife, Linda; sister, Nelva S. Daigle and husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Alexander, Christina and fiancé, Michael Guidry, Jacob, Maria, and Monica Morales; great-granddaughters, Rose Bordelon and Penelope Guidry.

Emilie was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Richard Joseph Morales, Sr. and 2nd husband, Paul Jerome Weyl; parents, Emile Ernest and Pearl Lirette St. Romain; sisters, Mary Jane St. Romain, Faye S. Webre and husband, Richard “Dickie”.

Emilie “Mimi” lived a full, fun-filled, meaningful life here on earth, in addition to an active, productive life in her youth, such as marching in the New Orleans parades as a drum majorette, playing several musical instruments, and seeing Elvis Presley, in concert. She was truly blessed by having two loving, caring husbands who absolutely adored her. She enjoyed, in her spare time, playing golf with special friends, riding with the Krewe of Hyacinthians, spending precious time with her children, grand, and great-grandchildren, and of course, looking forward to “‘tini time.” Emilie was always grateful for her Catholic Faith, her guardian angel, and Our Blessed Mother. A friend of the family once said, “Your mom is such a small lady, but she has such a big presence.” This very special little lady’s presence will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly. May Emilie rest in Eternal Peace with our dear Lord, Jesus Christ, and be reunited with all of her loved ones who have gone before her.

The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice, their staff, Hospice of Acadiana, their staff, and Dr. Bobbie Morris and Dr. Blaine for their love and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emilie Weyl’s name to St. Scholastica Priory at www.stscholasticapriory.org.
