Ernest Eugene Boudreaux Jr. born November 14, 1948 of Chauvin, passed away on January 22, 2023, in Houma, LA and a resident of Chauvin, LA left this earth with angels on January 22, 2023.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 9:30am to 12pm, with the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Ernest is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Domangue Boudreaux; sons, Ronnie Lee Boudreaux (wife Monica L. Foret), Robbie Jude Boudreaux (wife Jennifer L. Blanchard), Rodney James Boudreaux (wife Manderly M. Pellegrin); daughter, Haley Lynn Boudreaux Lirette (husband Ramsey P. Lirette); grandchildren, Dustin M. Boudreaux (wife Dru Burgo), Trent M. Boudreaux (wife Renee’ Bergeron), Alex Boudreaux (partner Cameron Kendrick), Tyler C. Boudreaux, Macy M. Boudreaux, Megan M. Boudreaux, Presley G. Lirette, and Finn R. Lirette; great grandchildren, Kambree L. Boudreaux, Jax Boudreaux, and June B. Boudreaux, and baby Boudreaux due in February; step great grandchildren, Cohen Blanchard and Charli Blanchard; sisters, Joyce M. Boudreaux (husband Emile J. Hebert), Shirley A. Foret Faciane; brothers, Brian P. Foret (wife Debra L. Foret), Elray P. Foret (wife Haydie Ann Foret), and Ernest J. Boudreaux.

Ernest was preceded in death by his mother, Regina M. Dupre Boudreaux Foret; stepfather, Brownell Paul Foret, who raised Ernest as his own; biological father, Ernest Boudreaux Sr.; grandmother, Laura Emma Smith Dupre; grandfather, Frank James Dupre; and brother in law, Dwayne Faciane.


He always had a smile and loved to cook before he finished cooking one meal, he was wondering what he could cook next. He loved fishing and couldn’t wait to tell his wife or whoever would listen about his fishing trip and the fish he caught. He was loved very much and will leave a big void in his family’s life.
