Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. with burial following in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Dianne Davis; son-in-law, Robert Stinson; grandchildren, Heather R. Ledet and husband, Shawn, Jeffery Giddens and wife, Stacie, Martin Giddens and companion, Kori, Kyle Giddens and companion, Ashley, and Stacie Bourg; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Giddens, Tatum Giddens, Chaely Ledet, Violet Giddens, and Ryan Giddens.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Ruthie Mae Davis; parents, Enoch and Jinnie Wyatt Davis; daughter, Gwen D. Stinson; brothers, Herman and Rhett Davis; and sister, Maryalice Sheets.
Fred was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Thibodaux. He served in the US Army and US Navy. He was retired from Texaco. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all he met. He enjoyed fishing and the sport of basketball. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
