Gail Bauland Arsena, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 13, 2023.
Gail was a Native and long-time resident of Houma, Louisiana.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00am until services at 12:00am. Burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 in Houma, Louisiana.
Gail is survived by her Daughters, Laurie Arsena Hamner and husband Kenneth, Lynn Arsena Myers and husband Michael; Grandchildren, Benjamin Hamner, Evan Hamner, Sam Myers, and Molly Myers.
Gail is preceded in death by her loving husband Ben Arsena; Parents, L.H. Bauland and Louise Daunis Bauland; Brother, Harold Bauland; Sister, Marion Bauland.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for over 30 years at Terrebonne General Health Systems in the gift shop. She belonged to the Les Amies de Burkwall Volunteers for Family and Community. She was a member of the Newcomers Bridge Club and the Bayou Chapter of the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. She also volunteered at the Southdown Museum Gift Shop. She loved to travel, taking many trips with her friends across the country on buses and on cruises.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations can be made to the Bayou Chapter of the Affiliated Blind (donations may be sent to 401 Bourque Road Lafayette, LA 70506) or Blind Grace at blindgrace.net.
